One of my favorite hikes of all time is the Tre Cime in the Dolomites. Which we came to affectionately call 'Tres Leches.' I did it with my brother back in Sep 26. 2023 (almost exactly a year apart) but the weather was quite different. See pictures from first time HERE. It was really excited to show Riley this beloved hike, but the visibility was terrible and we had snow while hiking. We decided to even turn back mid-way (its a loop) and was shorter if we turned back.... but then when we made the decision to return the skies parted and we had some visibility on the iconic mountains, and people even cheered. We decided not to turn back and finish the whole hike. It wasn't the same as the first time, but was still pretty awesome. It was fun to see it in a whole different season, and have another excuse to come back and show Riley/fam this hike with full visibility.
